Meet North Liberty Council Candidates

From: "Paul Osterholt" <pjoster@southslope.net>

Hello all,

I would really appreciate any help I can get spreading the word about an opportunity to meet three of the North Liberty City Council candidates. We facing some controversial issues that the city council has passed and the opposition has proposed a moratorium on new development in North Liberty. That means that jobs - many of them union jobs - will disappear.

We have been putting the following flier out around town and are hoping to get many supporters to come.

Just a little back ground...
We're all democrats. Matt Bahl ran the 2002 caucuses and now is running for mayor. Rob Gardiner is a current city council member running for re-election. He owns Rob's Meat Market. Paul Osterholt (me) is a member of the A-Team and represents NL02 on the Central Committee.

Thank you for all your help getting this out!

Meeting Information follows:
............................................................................

Are you a North Liberty voter who has asked yourself any of the questions below?

What does the future look like for North Liberty?
Do taxes have to go up in order to improve Hwy 965?
Are we going to have to ration water next summer?
Why do the developers keep coming to North Liberty?
Why can’t they take their developments to the county?
Is all of this expansion good or bad for North Liberty?
Who is paying for the expansion?

For answers to these questions and any others you would like to ask…
On October 19 from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM come out to the North Liberty Community Center to meet mayoral candidate Matt Bahl, candidate for re-election, city council member Rob Gardiner, and city council candidate, Paul Osterholt.
Refreshments and hors-d-oeuvres will be provided.
