* On Sunday, October 16, 2005, at 3:30 p.m. at the Iowa City Public Library, Room E, Nick Maybanks, Democratic Candidate for Johnson County Attorney, will meet with citizens to discuss three separate and distinct core issues of his campaign.
* Tracking sex offenders in Johnson County.
* Protecting dependent adults from abuse and exploitation.
* Court diversion programs for low-level alcohol and drug offenders.
Nick Maybanks, a resident of Coralville, and full-time prosecuting attorney has announced that he intends to seek the post of Johnson County Attorney in 2006. There is a Democratic primary scheduled for June 6, 2006.
