Just a reminder that the September JC Dems Central Committee meeting is THURSDAY, SEPT 8, the 2nd week in September, instead of the 1st. It will be at the SEIU office in Coralville, directions are on the website at www.jcdems.org.

Help for BBQ

You say you want to help the Democrat's get good candidates elected? You say no one ever asks you to do anything? Well, here's your chance. A number of you have volunteered to help with the fall barbecue (and I will contact you soon), but we need more help. What can you do? Here are just some of the opportunities that await you.
1) I need someone who is willing to arrange activities for kids. If you have teenagers that want to get involved, this is a great way.
2) We always need help in the kitchen - cutting up those luscious desserts, keeping the dishes washed (somebody has to do it), making sure utensils and napkins are stocked, making coffee and lemonade. You get the picture
3) Setting up tables and chairs.
4) Arranging for equipment rental and its return
5) Cleaning up afterwards.
6) Making and placing signs
7) Publicity
