Thank you Cath

From: redlawsk@ix.netcom.com

Friends,

Our thanks to Cath for all she has done for the JC Dems over the years
-- words really aren't enough, but they're the best I have right now.
Not only did Cath manage the listserv, but she handled GOTV efforts,
worked with the UDems, provided advice to many of us, and simply did
whatever needed to be done. We will miss her.

On behalf of the JC Dems, Cath, we wish you all the best in your new
endeavors -- you'll be a wonderful teacher, your future students are
lucky to have you.

Dave Redlawsk

Leaving Las Veg . . . Iowa City

Dear All -

After more years than I care to enumerate, I've finally graduated from
the University of Iowa, and moved to Galesburg, Illinois where I begin
teaching as an Assistant Professor of History at Knox College this
fall.

I will no longer be moderating the Johnson County Democrats' email list
- as of this afternoon that responsibility will pass to David Redlawsk.
Please update your filters to reflect this change - messages from the
list will now come from redlawsk@ix.netcom.com.

As ever, you can send messages for distribution to the listserve
directly to the moderator, or to jcdems-announce@unifex.dyndns.org. In
order to make this transition as smooth as possible, please include the
words 'for the listserve' in the subject line of your email so that
David can distinguish mailing list emails from regular political news
sent to his account.

my best
Cath

Lunch with Dems, 8/19

From: David Redlawsk <redlawsk@ix.netcom.com>

Friends,

This month's LUNCH WITH DEMS will be Friday, August 19, Noon - 1PM. The
plan is to meet at Thai Flavors on Burlington, but that has to be
confirmed. For now, put the time on your calendar and watch for
announcements of the place.

This month's invited elected officials are Supervisor Sally Stutsman,
and Kelley Putman, Soil and Water Commissioner. Please join them and
fellow Dems for good food and conversation (Dutch Treat, of course.) No
agenda, no speeches.

Cheers,

Dave
