As you probably know, State Rep. Ed Fallon has announced his candidacy for Governor of Iowa. Ed will be in Iowa City next Friday and would like to invite folks to join him for conversation. The meeting will be at Uptown Bill's Small Mall, corner of Gilbert and Court, around 9:45AM, next Friday, April 29. He'll be there until about 11:00. Fell free to drop in for an informal discussion. Let me note that while I am getting out the word for Ed's visit to Iowa City, and while I respect and appreciate Ed's progressive positions and ideas, I'm not yet endorsing any candidate for Governor. Johnson County will be critical to any Democratic victory in 2006, and I personally hope that any candidates intending to run will spend some time talking with us here. I'm happy to do my part to make sure they have that opportunity at this stage of the game.
