At this year�s Iowa Democratic PartyJefferson Jackson Dinner Senator Tom Daschle will be the keynote speaker, along with Iowa�s leaders Senator Tom Harkin, Governor Tom Vilsack, First Lady Christie Vilsack, Lt. Governor Sally Pederson, and Congressman Leonard Boswell. The event will be on Saturday evening, November 5 at Hy-Vee Hall, part of the new Iowa Events Center, in Des Moines.The Jefferson/ Jackson Dinner will also feature speeches from the Democratic candidates for the 2006 gubernatorial race.

While this is our most important fundraising opportunity each year, it is also a celebration of our entire party. In order that more of our Democratic activists can join the celebration, we are pleased to announce a limited number of gallery tickets for the Jefferson-Jackson event. These gallery tickets are available for $25 per individual, and entitle the ticket-holder to theater-style seating inside the Hy-Vee Hall. These tickets do not include a meal, and are comparable to balcony tickets that have been offered in previous years, although they are more limited in number. Gallery tickets are available only in advance, on a first-come, first-served basis, by calling the Jefferson Jackson ticket line at 515-974-1690 or by e-mailing Molly Scherrman, IDP Finance Director, at molly@iowademocrats.org.

Gallery tickets will not be mailed out, but can be picked up at the Will-Call desk at the event.
